Sustained Investigation #12

Hand Turkey

9" x 12"

Bristol paper, black pen, white pen, water color, crayon

The main idea that guided this piece was the holiday of Thanksgiving. I have been wanting to add my little sister in a project so I thought this was the perfect chance because she is someone I am thankful for and she loves to draw hand turkeys.

For this piece I used black pens to make all of the tiny dots, i used white pen to fix any small mistakes, i used water color to give the table a base color, and I used crayon to imitate my sisters drawing that she was working on in the actual picture which was with crayon.

Some processes that I went through was taking a picture and then creating a graph on the printed paper and the bristol paper. I have also been wanting to use the stippling method with pens in on of these investigations so I thought this was the perfect time because this is a pretty detailed picture with a lot of shading.
