Artists Statement

For this assignment we were tasked to take pictures of the elements of photography such as selective focus and leading lines. I took all of these photos recently except for a couple and for all of them I used my Nikon D3400 camera to take the pictures.

All of these photos are centered around a unique element of photography such as leading lines or high key lighting. For a majority of these rules I found them easy to take pictures for but for a few I found it really difficult such as high key lighting. The rules also pushed me into new angles of photography or different ways to take pictures. I also found out that I like a few of these styles a lot such as low horizon line and angle up view and I am not so fond of others. The ones I don't like as much include high key lighting and I really don't like soft focus.

There is not a lot of meaning in any of these photos because I don't think any are particularly powerful. But a lot of the pictures are of my friends and I was with my friends for all of them so that is kind of fun. My favorite picture is low key or silouhette lighting.
