Style 7

Process

This painting was very fun to paint because just when I was starting to get board with the first style, I was able to switch it up. This painting is a cropped scene of a fruit market in some tropical part of the world.  The FRU in the background are just the begining of the wordS FRUIT MARKET and thats why the orange and flamingo are cropped as well. I wanted this to look aged and distressed as well as seperated from the foreground. To do this I tried using a glossy clear finish and dying it darker with water color paint than adding those cracks on the wall. This separated the outdated look of the background to the foreground. Than I painted much more hurriedly in the foreground with different tones of each color to make it more realisitc.
