This was really more of an excerise than a real project, we talked about obsevational sketches in class and then made a few speed sketches of our peers. We had students (I was one of them) go to the front of the class and pose for about 4 minutes while we sketched as much as we could. I found the process that was introduced to us to be very helpful when drawing the models. We started with a line from the top of the head to roughly the feet, than we drew rough shapes like an oval head and pancake hands, kind of like drawing one of those model things from elemetery school.

I used exclusivly 2B graphite pencils for this assaignment. Those are my go to pencils because they are dark and soft but not too extemely dark or too extremely soft. We used illustration board as the backing, I don't know why.

I really liked this excverise and I did the majority of my sketches in my classes because they were super easy and super quick. I like to think that I'll finish them but I probably won't. I will continue to keep up this excerise because I struggle with drawing people and this made drawing humans much easier.
