This assignment was inspired by the Hindi and Buddhist design known as the mandala. It was all about using nature to create a circular, symmetrical design. First I collected some grass to organize in a star shape. Then I got, white rocks to create little triangles, little purple flowers for then end of the grass fronds, and I broke up a stick to embellish the circular shape. Finally I got some leaves to put in the sticky triangles and as a finishing touch I added a perfect dandelion head.

This assignments was all about using symmetry, design and balance. The Hindi and Buddhist mandalas, are always very intricate symmetrical circles, and as mine isn't super intricate it is fairly symmetrical and a circle. Balance was very important in creating a symmetrical shape that looked good and used it's environment.

A big challenge was completing the project before it started to truly rain. No one could tell in the picture but it was raining when I made the mandala and understandable I really wanted to finish before the rain picked up. To be honest I didn't really like this project because it was super boring, and I don't feel like it represented me at all, except that my hand is in the first picture.
