Artist Statement

For my mini-zine I decided to show 'major' events that have happened since Corona virus was an actual threat in our community. I picked 9 topics that I considered 'important.'

I made a really small zine because I didn't have a tone of paper and I thought it would make it easy to make with the idea I had in mind. I started off by picking major events, then I wrote them down and started thinking of images that reminded me of the topics. I collected the images onto a pdf and printed it out. Then I cut out the pictures and pasted them onto each page creating a collage depicting the topic. Finally I wrote a sentence explaining what the pictures are and their significance.
