Rainbow

Green House

For this image we were tasked with going around and taking pictures that are inspired by the colors of the rainbow (R, Y, O, G, B, V). I had a few ideas for this project but was unable to execute my vision. This is why I attempted to photoshop it. I originally wanted to take pictures of dresses that were the colors of the assignment because I went prom shopping the day before. It was very intense and I ended up completely forgetting until I was in the car on my way home. I then found some scissors that were all of these different colors and was going to photoshop them all in one picture but I didn't love the idea. I also took pictures of book covers and was going to assemble them to look like a brick pattern but ended up going a different route. Another idea I had that I really liked was to go around taking pictures of different houses that were all of these different colors. I then realized this would be super time consuming and I doubted I would be able to find all the different colors in the time that I had. If this would have worked, I wanted to photoshop the houses so that they were all lined up in a row like I did in the image above. I ended up getting 1 picture of a green house. I find this ironic because none of the houses in this image are actually green. Technically the assignment was to use photos inspired by the colors and the green house inspired this image. I also named the final image "green house" because I think it makes you think a little bit. I created the image by bringing the original photo of the house into photoshop over the background image that I took outside of the window at my house. I then copy and pasted the house until I thought I had enough of them. I ended up being 1 short but thought adding an additonal one may make the image too crowded. I also changed the background image to back and white and cropped it so that the houses looked more lined up together. I tried to incorporate green in a couple of different ways including color selection where I only keep the green and the rest stays black and white. I could not figure this out at all and tried to erase the black and white where the green trees were. This ended up not looking how I wanted it and I felt that adding any other color wouldn't look as well with the image so I left it.
