Repetition/Selective focus

This is an example of repetition because there are many leaves in the image "repeating" themselves.

Silhouette

This is not the greatest example of a silhouette because some of the green color of the trees reflected into the water. I think that made the edits look better though because there was some color to offset the tar. The trees show a silhouette in the puddle.

Leading Lines

This is an example of leading lines because the footprints in the snow draw the viewer's eyes towards the back of the image where the door is.

Edit 3

We were asked to take random images around the school and edit them 3 ways. For most of the edits I did for the different components of composition, I did one that enhanced the color and natural features of the image, another that was on the darker end of the scale and a third one that was on the lighter end of the scale. I did this because I thought those were the main three ways to edit the photos that were the most different from each other. I also thought it was helpful to be able to know how to do those three things specifically in case I wanna do them for future images. This relates to my life because I sort of just winged it and did my best even though I had no idea what I was doing. I tried to pick up on different patterns but found that difficult so I keep working on it.

I experimented with the different components and worked with the images that I had. For the leading lines image I ended up switching the picture three times because I wanted the three edited images to be more drastic which was hard to achieve with the previous images.

If something didn’t work either either reverted to original and just started fresh or I kept at it and focused on the different components that I could change to make it better. In the future I will keep in mind that we are beginners and continue to try my best even when I get frustrated. My favorite one is the one with the 2nd edit of all 3 of them because it makes them look realistic but more enhanced.
