My name is Cora Huot and I was born in Biddeford Maine. I have one brother named Ethan who works full time as an electrical apprentice. I have 3 pets, 2 hamsters named Gibby and Timothy and 1 tortoise named Cocoa. We only speak English at my house currently. In the future I hope to own my own business and am currently experimenting ways to do that. In 5 years I see myself being able to have an online business and be successful enough to have that as my major form of income. I do not know anyone other then a teacher who has gone to school for art. I am the most proud of how hard I try at things even if it doesn't pay off in the end. I try to learn from experiences instead of seeing them as failures. In my free time I enjoy exercising, being creative, and exploring new or existing business venture. My ideal job would be owning my own business and discussed earlier. I enrolled in this course because I thought it would be fun and I could learn how to use photoshop more efficiently. There are no photographers I am currently interested in. 3 adjectives others may use to describe me would be stubborn, compassionate, and persistent.
I love the use of shapes in this image painted by Pablo Picasso. I saw it in Spain and thought it was so cool. I like the chaos and abstract way the painting was painted. It tells a story and makes you curious about what he may have been inspired by. (11′ 6″ x 25′ 6″)
This was painted by Andy Warhol and clearly was inspired by a can of Campbells tomato soup. To controdict everything I said in previous explainations. I like how simple a lot of Andy's masterpieces tend to be. They don't overcomplicate what is trying to be shown in the paintings. (1′ 8″ x 1′ 4″)
This was also painted by Pablo Picasso. I love his use of lines and shapes in this image as well. I like the sharp lines and more rectangular/square features. It makes you take a second look instead of just walking by or scolling past it. (6 feet 8 1/2 inches × 6 feet 2 1/8 inches)
This was painted by Vincent Van Gogh and is of a little cafe in Arles, South France. I like the way this painting clearly depicts an image of the cafe with the stars in the background but is also not super detailed. I tend to like painting that show something like and image or scene but indirectly. (2′ 8″ x 2′ 2″)
This was painted by Banksy and shows items you would find in society disregarded in the river. It is a reworking of the painting Bridge Over a Pond of Water Lillies (1899) by Claude Monet. I like that is takes something beautiful and shows us what it could look like if we treat the world poorly. It may encourage people to be more cautious of the affect they are having on the environment. (56⅜ by 56½ in)
