For this assignment, we needed to take pictures of people of varying distances whether they were in the foreground, middleground, or background. I went for a walk with my friends outside and we did different poses for each other so we were able to get different and more unique images.
I used the same camera for this assignment and there proved to be similar issues. Maybe the new lense that we have will help the images to come out a little clearer and not as light/dark. One of those seems to overpower the film with not much in between with the colors.
I had a lot of trouble when making prints, contact sheets, and developing images. The contact sheets all came out super gray and almost blurred as opposed to black and white. As shown in the first and third contact sheets above. I remembered back to the photograph unit and how we used the 3.5 filter to make the image more black and white as opposed to gray. I hoped this would boost the contrast so I tried adding it and it improve the quality of the image greatly (contact sheet 2 & 4). I tried one for 4s and one for 6s and made prints of those which are also shown above. This came out better than the other stuff I had been doing which made me have a little hope. I will continue to try and problem solve in the future when faced with similar situations.
