Portrait photoshop

For this assignment we were tasked with finding an image of our self as well as a background image that we were to overlay and combine to make one image. I don't like to take pictures of myself so I just found a random one that didn't make me cringe as much and a random background and sort of threw them together since we did this is class. 

We used photoshop to create this and went through a bunch of different steps that were super confusing. I found this very difficult and needed help along the way. I will try to experiment with this more and see if I am able to improve and get the results that I want more easily. 

We went through this assignment in class and I didn't really have much of an idea behind this. I like the plane in the background image because I think it is unique and subtle. It makes you have to look and think about it for the moment. If it were to do this project again I would try and find a background images the compliments the self portrait better or try it without the slef protrait and do maybe another person or object.
