Change refers to making (someone or something) different; alter or modify. Change is never permanent, it is always constant. I chose this theme as I was very intrigued in the everyday life changes and how they are reflected and impacted on people each day.
"The Evolution of Fashion", presents a mandala, lazy suzan which focuses on the idea of fashion changes and trends. The idea of the mandala being able to be moved and rotated, contributes to the idea of changes always moving, developing and not remaining constant, instead continuos. People can interact with this artwork, moving it. These photos were shot on a color disposable film camera, then developed and scanned through silver fast, to then be printed and pasted onto the canvas.
"The Evolution of Teeth", presents a rubix cube, where each face of the cube depicts a different age groups teeth, from infancy to old age. I shot these photos on a canon 1500D digital camera, edited on photoshop and printed on sticky paper. I then traced and pasted each part of the photo onto the squares on the rubix cube. People can interact with this, moving and altering the positions of the cube.
"What has Changed?", this video, presents multiple interviews with people discussing the different parts of their life that has changed, as well as society changes. The video is in black and white and focuses on peoples mouths and close up faces, to show how each and every individual is different in their own way, they all view the world in different ways.
