2021 ACADEMIC AWARDS FOR ART & DESIGN
The Visual Arts and Design & Technologies Faculties congratulate the following students for their outstanding efforts and achievements in their subject areas this year.
THE RAYMONDE TAYLOR AWARD
is a special award presented to a Visual Arts student in Year 12.
The award is named after Sr Raymonde Taylor of the Presentation nuns, an art educator at many presentation schools including Presentation College Windsor and Star of the Sea and a former student at Star. She taught girls to be adventurous, not just in the art room, but in their approach to life. Ahead of her time, she encouraged reflective and critical thinking in her students and always maintained that art was inclusive because it was shared.
This year's recipient is Cara Mackie (Nagle 6).
