Blue Boy

My theme celebration explores celebrating life and each human's individuality. Through the use of a mannequin, I wanted to symbolize the everyday human, linking it to my sub theme of human energy with the patterns and colour reflecting each person's unique personalities and feelings, something that can't always be shown on the outside. I wanted to show a representation of the beauty of humans, that every person on earth is different, depicting specifically the positivity emotions and feelings they everyone experiences which is reflected in this work through the use of the neon colours. Each pattern on the mannequin is unique in some way and not perfect, linking back to my theme of celebration, celebrating the imperfect perfectness of individuals. I wanted to convey human energy, the energies humans show off to the world and what colours in my mind represent that.
