New week, new slides.
Make a copy of these slides:
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1ciwYLVux_5xvoeGVrl976oaKgFbCFlDdPDjFDk3CvH8/edit?usp=sharing
This should go in your 4th Quarter sub-folder of your Fund. of CS shared folder.
No typing today.
I'll update grades before our next class. The further from last week you get, the harder it'll be to accurately remember it. If you didn't finish and submit your slides from last week's work days, I'd recommend doing so before moving on. Keep in mind, on the work days, you should have some videos and/or screenshots to show me what you worked on, as well as a short description of the progress you made.
We created a planning doc last week for your website, but we didn't do one for our actual game. So let's do that.
Create a new document in your Google Shared Folder,
save it as "Game Planning", or something similar.
At the top of the document, add a heading, it should say something like "Game Doc"
Write a couple sentences about the project itself. Something like...
I am creating a game about jumping spiders and their international quest to find the perfect ingredients to make a fly omelet. The finished project will run in a web browser and will be created with MakeCode Arcade.
This description doesn't exactly match your project, write about your own.
This is just an example to help you know what I'm looking for.
Provide a few sentences about your other ideas from 3/28.
Describe the main game loop, win condition, and losing condition for your game. Include a screenshot from your previous game concepts task from 4/4.
If you finish your project early, and you have extra time, how could you expand your project to continue using your time productively. If you end up running out of time, how could you make your project smaller?
Task, Part 2:
Add the link to your planning doc on your slide for today.
