In your Google Drive, you should have a shared folder for this class; it should have a folder for the 2nd Quarter in it.
Change the 1st slide to say Q2: Week 4

Add your screenshot to the slide for today, but also keep your log updated.
Progress report grades are captured tonight.
I didn't update Skyward yet, as not being here is a lot of work- but I will recheck this afternoon. If you are worried I might miss anything, feel free to fill out the request form:

Voxels are basically 3d pixels.
They've existed in the digital realm for quite a while, but there is some work on how they could be potentially used in the real world in the future as well. Check out this promo video on how they may be utilized in engineering and other fields in the future.
You may or may not have known the term voxel, but you may have been at least partially familiar with them conceptually thanks to Minecraft. Video games and computer graphics are where voxels have predominantly existed for the past couple decades.
Let's take a brief look at voxels in relation to games and computer graphics.
As you start to create more sophisticated and complicated things in Blender, sometimes you want one thing to line up perfectly with a certain point, or to another object. Many softwares allow this sort of thing, often referring to it as snapping. Blender also has snapping features.
Let's see how snapping works in Blender.
Next, let's look at how we can add colors to solid objects in Blender. If we do this with cubes, we could treat the cubes like voxels and create a 3D voxel version of our pixel art from last week. Be sure to use snapping from the previous video to make this easier.
While we can both create art and conceptually play with the idea of voxels in Blender, there are specific tools created just for creating art with voxels. If this an area of interest for you, then this video may be relevant to you.
Your slide for today should have screenshots for:
- Typing Practice Screenshot,
- Screenshot of your grades for this progress report, or of submission of regrade request form, and
- Screenshot of your progress on your voxel version of your pixel art in Blender.
