Decomposition

Our focus today is in learning about the concept of decomposition, and using it to break down the project in to steps that can then be turned into a timeline or schedule. Let's learn a bit about decomposition first.

Task

Eliminate 1 or 2 ideas today.

With your remaining idea (or ideas), use decomposition to break your project down into smaller more manageable steps. Here is an example of how many people will draw out their decomposition.

It may be worth noting which tasks/subtasks are part of your MVP, and which parts you'll only get to if everything is going well and you have more time than expected.

There's a few different ways this can look, here's a few other examples.

Tomorrow, your finished plan document is due. We'll take the different planning parts from this entire week and drop them into a single document. If you're behind on any of the planning, and have a bit of extra class time, then it'd be a good idea to use it on that bit.
