During the rise of the Howl, one of the adventuring parties began to gain fervent popularity and acclaim. They were some of the strongest heroes, but were praised not for their skill, but their kind benevolent nature. This party was known as the Merry Band. They wandered the wilderness, not only protecting the innocent, but providing food, shelter and high spirits to any in need. Over time, many members joined and left, but the group’s goal never changed. However, the Merry Band was left disbanded, as the war for the wilderness began.
The last members of the Merry Band were known as the Spice Knight, Music Knight, Mystic Knight and the Flower Knight. Leading up to the silent tower falling, the Spice Knight disappeared. Saddened, the Music Knight left alone to search for him.
Later in the war, he was reported as one of the victims of the Wilderman. After this news reached the Mystic Knight, he left to secretly assassinate the Wilderman. Knowing the Merry Band was no more, the Flower Knight officially disbanded the group.
However, fate would have it so the Merry Band would not remain in an entirely broken state forever: the Mystic Knight eventually reappeared, having failed to even find the Wilderman at all. Later, the Spice Knight returned as well one day, insisting to the Mystic Knight and the Flower Knight that his real name not be uttered aloud.
