The Wilderness Series is an experimental DnD campaign where the DM changes each time, cycling between all 5 members. The campaign follows a massive cast in a decrepit post-imperial land, with a mostly forested setting save for sparse villages.
The first arc of the series follows the members of the HOWL (Hunters' Organization Against The Wilderness), at the third garrison under Commander Tellig Tulach. The overall purpose of these missions was to gain information about the mysterious and dangerous "Wilderman", an entity who has cleared numerous villages and added their populations to his mindless army of "Dustwalkers".
The second arc of the series focused on the Westward Fellowship, a group who were formerly part of the HOWL but left to travel to Greth Summit, the home of the legendary Knights of Zorn. The idea was to train with them so they could eventually defeat the Wilderman.
The third arc is still ongoing, and follows the fragmented Westward Fellowship as they build towards the Gathering of the Four Divines, a ritual which can culminate in the death of the Wilderman.
In the background of this main story are numerous other stories involving the nations of Lurisia and Pluvia and Zarkhin, the secret organizations of Domecus, the True Foundation and the Dextrous Individuals, and strange otherworldly deities linked to the Four Divines.
