Leos is a self-proclaimed folk hero from Ulvick who perpetuated his own legacy by spreading rumours and crafting stories of his adventures for the commoners to fawn over. He would enter the taverns of the Wilderness with brash arrogance and pawn his ale (allegedly passed down his family line for generations). Everything he did was for his own reputation, however he had little true substance to actually back up his tales.
While spreading his name to the village of Fallholt, he recieved information about the Jade Snakes, a band of thieves and spies who were stealing from the Howl, a much-respected adventuring guild. As such, Leos saw the opportunity to further establish himself as a hero of the people, and joined the Howl. The information he had provoked Tulach into action, and he sent Leos along with the adventurers Gareth Turnkey and Zeris Vlanir to apprehend the Jade Snakes and reclaim the stolen plans. They defeated the Jade Snakes with relative ease, even killing one of the three members (and beginning a long-running feud between Leos and the remaining members). After a run-in with a strangely powerful undead creature called a Revenant, Leos then traveled to Beckinsale, satisfied with his adventure.
Leos convinced the people of Beckinsale that his ale was fantastic, however it was simply beyond their acquired taste. After this mildly successful visit, he journeyed back to the Howl's Third Garrison, but on the way discovered a new idea for an ale recipe, and then next discovered the Monolith of Asili. Disguised as a Revenant, he approached the Monolith and challenged Demil, who was already fighting Gareth and Zeris. Unfortunately, he was not able to proceed as Zeris mistook him for a Revenant and hit him with a blast of fire, knocking him unconscious. Leos bled out soon after.
However, a low god of Logos with a name which only exists in the Sylvan language saw purpose for his life, and resurrected him. When Leos woke, he was devastated as he saw Zeris dead and Gareth on his last breath. As he went over to Gareth, he heard his last words: Gareth bemoaned the fact that out of the three of them, Leos was the one who survived. The sting of these words motivated Leos to change his ways and seek an honest life, becoming a true hero rather than just a caricature of one.
Leos Graywind changed his name to Whitewind, and joined Gretchen Ash and Jinx on a mission to find the missing 29th Ranging Squad. The mission culminated in the foiling of the Sisterhood of Ghosts' plans and the destruction of the low god of Asili named 0. Leos later saw the remaining Jade Snakes in the Third Garrison, which had just been taken over by Pluvia, but he could do nothing about them as they were hiding behind Pluvia's very own Queen.
Leos left the Howl to correct his reputation as mostly fraudulent, and spent many months righting his wrongs and developing the perfect ale recipe. After completing it, he learned of a new tavern in Tulach's Getaway Village, and met Carl von Fink. The two of them traveled to the Green Highlands after his recipe was stolen by the Jade Snakes, and while there he found Elmore the Con and Kurt the Silent and "ended" the feud by tricking them into taking his "best recipe" (which was really the one he gave the people of Beckinsale that one time). In the Green Highlands, Leos was also part of the group who killed the Elder Brain and rendered the Lurisian-Illithid Plan a failure.
After this adventure, Leos returned to Tulach's Getaway Village to run the tavern with Carl.
