Matallica Firesong

Note: Metallica in the original story line was the daughter of Zorina Goldsword and Rostier Fireheart. When we rebooted the game in 2002, Black Widow played Cydni Silvermoon and we decided that Cyndi would have been a better pick for Metallica's mother in the storyline than Zorina. Metallica was a snobby aristocratic, selfish rogue type, much like Cyndi insted of the trick baby of a mage and a barbarian woman.

The Devil Went Down to Georgia by Charlie Daniels Band (In game, it had alternate Lyrics called "Asmodeus Went Down to Helmguard".)

In the year 70 TR, she teamed up with a paladin name Dekkar. The underwent a quest to save her uncle Jerome Fireheart and upon finding him, Jerome noticed a birthmark that so overlooked so much that it was like it had conveniently just appeared and Jerome knew Dekkar was his son. Jerome was just about to battle the great wyrm Larana Twilight and he gave his some the family sword and his full plate mail armor before charging out to meet his fate. This was how Metallica found out Dekkar was her cousin.

The two went on other adventures, but Dekkar was far from the worlds best tank fighter. Metallica was often attacked by monsters while Dekkar was busy searching worthless items or counting his gold pieces. Metallica decided that if she was to continue to adventure with her cousin, that she would have to learn skills that would increase her chances for survival. She duel classed into a bard so she could attack and use magic. As a bard, she met her future husband Lebin Likeable, an irda charlatan with many bard like abilities.

Metallica and Dekkar form "Rostier's Ruffnecks" and build a keep on Roughneck Island. They took a quest to investigate the mysterious Dragon Mountain. Rostier gives Metallica his Wand of Infinite Fireballs and they teamed up with a fighter named Val Morigan and a mage named Arcanus Greycloak. Val was a low brow, promiscuous woman that Metallica loathed. The fight finally came to blows and Val killed Metallica, only to have Dekkar raise her from the dead and Val would immediately raise her again. This happened twice and Metallica managed to use a ring with five doses of type E poison that killed her. Metallica broke Val's sword. For some reason this cause a huge explosion killing Metallica and Dekkar road off to find help from a group of adventures named "The Revengers".

and road off, knowing her cousin would not aid her in the fight with Val. This was probably because during a spelljamming adventure, Metallica strapped Dekkars dead spider monkey Ook Ook to a ballista bolt and fired it into the sun. (Only to have it return as a 5th level monk monkey).

He recognizes from history books, and then travels further back in time. The shockwave he creates from the miscalculation causes the Ruffnecks to retain their memory of the original timeline as everything shifts around them, including their clothes, into a modern world that is a mix of the magic and technology of the late 20th century similar to Earth. Kronos is the only gawd on Rune. The Ruffnecks, with the aid of a time traveler name Luminas and an artifact known as the Time Stone, travel back in time and return the timeline back to the way it was. As a side effect of this time travel, Kronos became a gawd as he planned, but only fulfilled history by becoming Chronis, the gawd of time who balances the time stream but is not allowed to change it himself.

Background: Metallica Fireheart was born in a magic shop named Silvermoon's Planer Outfitters in the city of Sigil. Her mother was a thief named Cyndi Silvermoon who owned the shop and her father was Rostier Fireheart, a famous mage on the world of Rune and Ganna. Cyndi and Rostier were just friends and adventuring partners, and Cyndi decided to have a child with Rostier because she like to tie herself to powerful men. For most of Metallica's young life she bounced between living with her father at his flying cloud castle in Rune, and Cyndi's magic shop in Sigil. With all this magical upbringing, Metallica took to the arcane arts instantly.

She never attended a formal magical academy, but instead was taught solely by Rostier, which explains why she never learned the creation of spells or magical items. Rostier always told her "Magical items are to be bought or found. Let lesser wizards spend there time toiling over books and cauldrons, if it hasn't been created already, it's not worth the effort.".
