sustainabilitybudget

    • i believe tackling a sustainability budget is one of the most important tasks of our time

    • for without it we are just wandering aimlessly into the future

    • everyone is playing the game that has no rules

    • leadership is making critical decisions without proper guidance

    • this budget requires lots of expert scientific knowledge

    • it will also require a lot of gut & heart

    • very difficult decisions will be required at times

    • there will be many dependent variables included in its calculations

    • it will be ever-changing through time

    • and will need to be constantly adjusted to reflect new realities as time marches forward

    • it will never be 100% accurate

    • at times it may even be way off

    • but the one thing it must be at all times is conservative

    • it should assume the worse

    • but hope for better than this

    • it should promise a minimum and deliver at times a little more

    • but at other times we know it will deliver less to some generations

    • it will require a majority of all people agree it is better than anything else imaginable

    • it should also clearly communicate events & scenarios

    • that will knock it on its ass

    • like major natural disasters

    • e.g. a large asteroid/meteor strike

    • i believe we must all have this sustainability budget

    • as a common goal and concern

    • always giving all of us across all generations a equal context

    • for how we each lead our lives
