    • so what did this discovery about happiness do for me

    • it helped me imagine and create better communication tools

    • it got me to focus on the tools themselves vs. the content

    • i knew i needed to help create better systems that would deliver better results

    • simply put - to help individuals find more happiness in their lives

    • here's the problem with most communication tools & systems today

    • they are mostly one-directional

    • meaning they make it really easy to initiate communication

    • but most fall short on helping you to get that even more important feedback

    • some other important discoveries about happiness related to the feedback...

    • the quicker the feedback the better = more happiness opportunity

    • and the more feedback the better = more happiness opportunity

    • especially getting more feedback from many different individuals

    • this vs. getting a lot of feedback from fewer individuals

    • these are very important when designing systems and tools

    • to dig into this deeper let's look closer at something i call the 'celebrity effect'

    • why does everyone want to be famous

    • and why do celebrities appear to be happier than everyone else

    • i believe the answer comes from them touching more people in the world

    • and in turn getting lots more timely feedback from others

    • maybe unknowingly celebs are fulfilling these hidden requirements of happiness

    • people respond or react to their communication attempts
