i love to take seemingly bad ideas that exist in the real world & flip them
looking to make them good in another form
i believe that everything that exists has its good side as well as its bad side
this project attempts to do exactly that with the gambling industry
i have imagined turning gambling into something more fun & educational
this vs. the current model which takes your money & gives it to profiteers
who are exploiting your natural desire to try to get ahead in life
what if i could give you all the fun & excitement of gambling
even the opportunity for cash & prizes
but greatly reduced your cost to play
what if we took the 5% to the house component out of gambling
and instead made it much like playing any other popular game today
that has a minimal cost to play
yet we maintained all the same games with the sames win/lose odds
the easiest way to do this is to pit you against other players
this vs. against the house
what if winning & losing was a relative to other players proposition
vs. who you did at defying the odds
think about playing any gambling type game
you act & react to situations in time
a series of repetitive hands or games
with no real beginning or end most of the time
you can walk up to & away from any game at any time
now imagine you do this simultaneously with many other people
you all play exactly the same hands/games at the same time
you make decisions & they make similar or different decisions
your decisions yield either good or bad results for you
over a series of play in time
you net either positive or negative results
and these can be compared to everyone else who played the same hands/games
i can then compare your results to their results
and determine winners & losers this other way
you can play this way with fake money
and still have the same incentive to do your best
i can even require you to pay a little real money to play
and have a chance at netting something greater than your entry fee
this is what the gambleland platform looks to create
you pay something like $1 per hour to play
you have fun & you learn
and you still have a chance to come away with something
if you indeed have superior playing skills over others
