solution idea #1

referencing my strugglethru story as it exists right now
understanding that it can change at any moment in the future
this graphic is not the full story
instead just the chapter called 'thestory'
this is not the final look & feel
instead only a graphic to help explain the algorithm
this is not a navigable graphic
instead it should be viewed as static with a small footprint on a display screen
used with other info about the story & creator
but a click on this graphic can take the user to a nav type screen version of the graphic
focus only on creating a cool looking 'unique' graphic
something auto generated by the system
the only control the creator has is in how s/he adds & connects together the chapters of the story
so the graphic changes as the creator makes changes to the story
also explorers activity will ultimately change the look & feel of the graphic
so the graphic changes in time this way too
so the graphic itself tells a story about the story
helping both creator & explorer
make decisions about further interacting with a particular story
helping the explorer decide to interact or not
helping the creator figure out what to add/edit next
the algorithm explained
i picked a base diameter for the smallest circle/dot
this could be much smaller or even a tiny dot
circles inside other circles indicate chapter leveling
or chapters within/under other chapters
or subchapters
the algorithm is quite simplistic
it arranges all circles to minimize the overall size of the graphic
it works from the lowest level chapter back out to the highest level chapter
there are many repeated structures that we can pre-engineered or design size-wise to look best on screen
i have included no color in the designs yet
we can work with border color (aura) - age of chapter (creation)
we can work with inside border color - explore activity maybe (exploration)
