    • today there's a huge diversity of values within the full population of citizens of our planet

    • almost every value issue can be viewed on a continuum

    • with two polar opposite ends

    • extreme stance points at either end

    • they have been given many names

    • conservative & liberal, left & right, right & wrong, etc.

    • we learned our values from our parents

    • from our churches, temples & worship groups

    • from our education & life experiences

    • from the news & media

    • from advertising & marketing campaigns

    • some values i'm sure are innate & ingrained in our dna

    • but mostly our values have been formed for us

    • and they change as we grow & age

    • just wait if you are younger

    • you will value things very differently later in life

    • there have been great value changes made through history too

    • new things emerge and we often value these more than the things of the past

    • but there are constants too

    • our values always impact our decision making & our prioritization of issues

    • so very important to establish common values before

    • imagining better solutions for creating a better world for all
