Hey y'all! Today we have some helpful hints from our Assistant Principal, Ashley Landes, and our Instructional Technology Specialist, Joshua Moore. Check them out!
I wanted to make you aware of an issue/bug that is occurring with External Tool assignments using Office 365 Cloud Assignments.
Currently, when these assignments are created a "refused to connect" message is displaying in the preview window (after the assignment has been created.) This is causing confusion, but it appears to only affect the preview.
In our testing (and based on reports from teachers and students) the documents are still being copied to student's OneDrive folders. This makes it possible for them to go in and work on the document. Furthermore, the Open and Submit buttons are still appearing for students and will open the document and allow for submission.
You can watch a brief video walking through the problem here.
We are currently advising that you notify students of the bug and how they can "drive through the smoke" to complete the assignment.

Some staff (including myself-ha!) have been getting Teams links automatically added to the invites on Outlook. This is apparently happening if it is the web version. Mari investigated for me and found out the following information below. Has this already been communicated? I think it is a big enough problem that maybe we send out an all staff- thoughts?
In the web version of Outlook, click on the settings icon on the top right of the page, then choose “View all Outlook Settings”. On the next screen, select “Calendar”, then “Events and invitations”, then uncheck the box for “Add online meeting to all meetings”. Click Save.
