I hope you had an AWESOME first week of school and you have some self-care planned for this weekend. I have a lot to tell you, so let’s get started J
Remember to sign up for Kyte Learning before October! This is a competition between the schools in the district for a prize from the Ed Tech department! I have attached a documentshowing you how to register for and login to Kyte Learning.
Speaking of Kyte… our September Tech Tidbit is Kyte Learning! Kyte is our new and improved (much improved) online technology learning system. You’re able to earn 15 hours of tech pay at the in-service rate on Kyte Learning!
Kyte has a number of videos that teach you not only how to use technology in your classrooms and practice, but also how to apply them. One of the cool new things about Kyte is that you can watch videos that give you tips and tricks, implementation ideas, or walks you through step by step how to get a finished product/lesson to use in your classroom! It has been so helpful for me – I’ve already completed 15 hours of training of Kyte and it was great!
Another awesome function is that you can either browse the library by the name of the technology you’re looking for OR you can organize them into categories that help you to find something exciting that applies to a professional interest or need that you have!
Kyte is an awesome tool to utilize to upgrade your teaching. I honestly cannot speak highly enough of this resource and how helpful I have found their customer service team to be. Some tips – remember to complete your hours outside the contract day and make sure to watch 100% of videos in a series! If you want to learn more about Kyte or how to submit for compensation for your tech hours (make sure you’re doing them outside the contract day), check out the Connect page for more help or ask me! J
PHEW! That was a lot of information! Thanks for sticking with me! As a reward, here’s a cute red panda with a hyperlink to a joke. As always, if you have any questions, please let me know!
Thanks,
