Our February Tech Tidbit is Quizizz!
Quizizz is a multiplayer classroom assessment tool that allows you to check student understanding, collect student data, or offer a fun alternative to assessment. Students can use iPads, computers, or cell phones to respond as individuals or with a group. It’s similar to Kahoot, but has a little more flexibility to allow student-pacing for differentiation and adding questions from their database.
One of the best features is the ability to add single questions from other teachers (instead of adding the full quiz or re-typing it yourself). Their user interface is easy to get used to and it’s easy to create a quiz or homework.
AND there are lots of options to customize the experience so that it’s less stressful for struggling students (or for our introverted students). You can also use memes to help make it a little more light hearted – something that students really enjoy, even when they get it wrong. Scores can be displayed to all or just to you.
This is a fun and easy way to assess student learning or collect data for your growth goals. As always, let me know if you have questions!
