Allow 'Treat ungraded as 0' in New Grade Book
Teachers can view ungraded assignments as a "0" which will reflect in the total grade of the student, while it currently does not reflect there. Teachers using the Missing Submission policy may not be affected by this change.
Have you ever recorded a video in Canvas media, and it did not finalize or complete? Where did it go...it disappeared, and you have to start over! Now, the Canvas media Recordings will automatically be placed in files and be available to insert as needed into other content. This change is effective 12-19-2020.
Outcomes: Account and Course Level Outcome Mastery Scale Management
Teachers will now have the ability to adjust the description and points for outcomes mastery scales at their course level. Previously, any imported outcomes were not editable. Also effective 12-19-2020.
Student View will no longer be available from the home page, instead, each page (pages, announcements, discussions, files, etc.) will have the quick access goggles button to move into student view. Effective 12-19-2020.
New Rich Content Editor Reminder
The New RCE will be enforced beginning Jan 17. It looks different than the current Rich Content Editor, so encourage your teachers to make the switch now and start getting used to it. New Rich Content Editor FAQ.
