Speakers expressed interest in collaborating with educators to provide resources such as Ecotours of local sites and Native
American Art activities. Please let me know if you are interested and I can put you in touch.
We will be building a Core Equity Team and starting a Student Equity Club for next school year. Some initially ideas to start this work that were brainstormed can be found on the attached PowerPoint.
Thanks for sharing information on Equity Meeting with students in your classrooms. Several students email Mr. Phelan and me asking for more details. So, we are excited about more student participation with students in the building next year. If you have a student or club that wants to present their work around Equity at Skyline or in the community at the next Equity Meeting, please contact me.
Please keep in mind the district provided resources as you talk to students or handle classroom conversations on current events.
Again, thanks for your time and everything you all do for our students.
Dr. Kamath
