October Tech Tidbit is Microsoft Teams!
Teams has recently started rolling out in our district, so I wanted to help you get more familiar with it! Teams is a new app from the Microsoft Suite that can be used on desktop or mobile.
Teams is aiming to make collaborating easier by allowing you to integrate the entire Microsoft Suite and more into one easier to use interface. This way, you get to chose the tools that's right without having to leave Teams.
You can collaborate with other teachers to coauthor documents, share files, send updates, share new ideas, and organize your resources all in one place. It features a chat log, as well as tabs for organization.
Kyte is also being rolled out to students. This allows us to make assignments for them to submit in multiple formats, share resources on one assignment page, and see their work all in one place.
Our Ed Tech TOSAs wrote a great article on the Bits & Pieces Blog about setting up and using Teams. Be sure to check it out!
