Online Learning Options for Cert Staff: New providers (in addition to Kyte) have been approved (Adobe, Canvas*, Microsoft and Seesaw) to meet the training needs for staff. Cert staff may access their tech compensation through these additional providers. Compensation rules for online learning continues to be 6 hours per diem (unless it has been used for face to face) and an additional 15 at in-service rate for online training options. Instructions on how to access the tutorials and the documentation required for compensation can be found on The BNP here: https://thebnp.org/online-learning-tech-compensation/. Please note the Canvas courses are fee based. The fee for taking the class is not provided by Ed Tech.
Canvas: The Canvas 101 for ISD Teachers has been updated and provides a lot of information for teachers using Canvas in the ISD. This also covers Zoom cloud recording and Kaltura. If you are returning from leave or going out on leave this is a great place to start.
As a reminder we also have Canvas 101 for ISD Students and Canvas 101 for ISD Parents (they do not require a login). If you have a student and/or family who is new to Canvas feel free to direct them to these pages.
