gate
If you want to see a lot, standing in one spot is the thing to do. More comfortably, leaning on a gate and spacing out into the broad view beyond is one of those things that cannot be replicated without a gate to lean on and a view to space out into. A gate is kind of a seaside between established knowledge (been there and done that - walking to the gate), and the unknown potential beyond the gate (not been there, not done that... yet). Gates are in-between places, betwixt subliminal and supraliminal. Paused in some liminal, then. Being alert, as a hunter, as a gatherer - or, simply slipping away over the threshold of a dream. . . .
at the leaning gate,
watch God's seasons unwind
their mortal coils
