My own, albeit somewhat limited, understanding is that there are; doors, windows, skylights and trapdoors, secret passage ways, tunnels that turn into transdimensional wormholes - as well as; quantum jump appliances, wheels, skates, rocket propulsion system options... all of which can be built into a haikai's inner-space vehicle itinerary.

This is a 'sketch from life' (shasai) job. You know, directly experienced. I was out in the wilds, in the darkling nightime, with a digital Kodak, a while back - shooting nocturnal wildlife.
