two views
The landscape has two aspects. The second one is often overlooked. What are they? The first is the romantic vision of nature unfettered; perhaps tethered a bit by walls and hedges, guided by roads on the ground and in the sky, with certain access permissions for civilians to marvel at the views, here in God's carousel of grace. The second is the land as a source of food and raw materials - owned by owners and worked (see the sweat on their brows) by workers. Sometimes, the latter are enthusiasts, poets in their hearts. . . .
