1420 - Joan (nee Bradley) [Cro0004] wife of Thomas Crombleholme [Cro0003] and sister of Henry Bradley of Chipping in 1420 received from the feof fees lands in Ribchester, Thornley and wheatley, the remainders being to Christopher [Cro0005] son of Thomas and Joan and Joan's right heirs. 1422 - Leagrim Park - Translated from the Accounts of the Master Forester of Bolland (NB 1322 stated in this source but should be 1422)

.........Paid to Adam de Swynhilhurst and Thomas de Crombilholme [Cro00015] for the upkeep of the paling around Laythegryme Park both with old and new pales, shores and rails, from the materials of the King by an agreement for the whole made by the Senerschal .... 46s 8d. 1422/3 - Accounts of Henry de Worsley, Storer of Bolland 1422-3.

Baxsholfwarde................And of a certain place called Crumbilholme which John de Threfalle recently held, formerly at 6s 8d, thus at the same time granted to the aforesaid Henry as above

- 33s 4d from the farm of Swynholhurst so granted this year

1422 - A certain close (evidently called after Richard of Spaldington who was keeper of the chase in Bolland (1327*)) was leased at 8s 8d yearly to Nicholas of Swinehirste..........................................in addition Crumbilholm lately held by John of Threlfall at 6s 8d was included in the above and leased with other vac caries (stock farms)

1440/1 - (18+19 HenVI) Edmund Crumbleholme [Cro0016] received for one day's carpenters work in repairs at the Lodge (i.e. Leagram) .....6d

1447/8 - Rob Clitheroe gave Bailey Hall on lease to Ric Crombleholme [Cro0007]

The Hall mentioned here in passing "vaulted undercroft of a chapel endowed by Henry de Cliderowe in 1338 .... the last Bailey folk to worship here came in 1548. In that year such chapels were dissolved.)

1452 - John Boyes of Ribchster gave Elias Crokholme (Crombleholme) perpetual chaplain of the chantry (founded in the honour of the Blessed Mary the Virgin) a parcel of land lying in an angle of the southern part of Bernard Park and all his lands "lying in Inntel Hole". (Source Mrs J H Hall notes)

1467 - On the 8th July 1467 Elia de Crombholme Capell in Cantorial per (pet) . The chantry dedicated to the BV Mary was situated on the north side of the choir in the church of Ribchester and was founded by Sir Richard de Hoghton Kngt. who succeeded his father Sir Adam de Hoghton in 1386. In 1405 he founded the chantry in the church of Ribchester and died in 1422. His son william predeceased him and his daughter Dame Kathleen Venables vested lands in trust for a chaplain to celebrate divine service daily in this chapel.

1474 - William Crombilholme died as Incumbant of St Thomas Chantry in Hemsworth Church Yorks

1482 - Sir John Talbot of Sailbury granted Richard Banaster of Alvetham, Nicholas Townley, Laurence Aynesworth & Roger Talbot Knts ..............Eli Crombelholme & Oliver Hall chaplains lands in Richester

1487 - 20th November John Blakeburne (son & heir of Thos B) quitclaims to Ellis Crombilholme chaplain of the chantry in the church of Ribchester his right to 1/2 acre between house of St saviour le Stede and Chesterbroke & 2 roods in Ribchester Eyes called le Croketreids.

1494 - 24th June : Ughtered Cotom & Robert Cotom grant to Robert Crombilholme and Will Barker chaplains their messuage and lands with :

Water Mill in Dutton hamlet of Ribchester with common pasture, moor, turbary & easements. Render a red rose in the time of Roses (RC note : Norse custom)

1494 - 26th June : Robert Crombilholme & Will Barker grant to Ughtered their capital messuage with closes adjoining.

1494 - "Be it known that we Robert Crombilholme & William barker Chaplains gave to Ughtered Cotom & Ellen his consort, our chief messuage with three closes of land called Over Ridding, Largher Ridding and the Holt, adjacent to the vill of Dilworth, which we lately had by gift of the aforesaid Ughtered & Ellen for the term of the life of the same, upon payment thereof yearly a red rose. There being witnesses Robert Hodersall, Richard Lynols, Richard Hodersall gent., Robert Walmsley, Richard Coke and many others" Given at the feast of =St John & Paul in the year 9 Hen VII (1494). 1496 - 5th May Indenture : John Boyes of Ribchester grants to Ellis Crombilholm chaplain of the chantry of Ribchester a parcel of land lying in a corner on the south of Bernard Parke as enclosed by a new ditch with his land in Isabel Holle between the land of the chantry on both sides in exchange for land of the chantry lying between Bernard Parke and land of Robert Rochester abutting on the common way and grantor's land. Witnesses : Richard Linols, Rob Rochester & John Blakeburn
