[652] - their children : Richard C [428] died as infant; and a second Richard C [431] b May 1680 died as a child in 1686.

On 1st April 1596, a caveat (i.e. notice that a will is to be disputed) was entered against probate of the will of Anne Croumleholme [1227] , widow , late of the parish of Castle in the County of Lancaster, before the 1st may next, unless John Crombleholme [Cro1232] , son of the deceased is first informed. (Source : Borthwick Institute York - Ref City - extract from Act Book as will does not now exist.)
Note : Her husband was Richard Crombleholme [Cro1226] who died before 1596; They had two children : Anne C [1231] and John C [1232]

Indexed as 1615= probate date ? but will made ......? 1610.
....Sick and diseased in body...To Thomas Croumleholme [Cro1234] my son one ‘chest standing in the firehouse’. After my death and burial expenses be discharged, the rest of all my goods whatsoever to Thomas Crowmleholme [Cro1234] my son and Elizabeth Croumleholme [Cro1233] my wife, equally, and they both are to be executors.

On 14th October 1673 administration of the goods of John Crombleholme [Cro1236] late of Newhey was granted to Alice (nee ?? ) [Cro1237] his relict (widow) . An inventory above the value of £40 was exhibited. (Source : Borthwick Institute York Ref Folio 62 Craven Act Book) Note : Their son was John Crombleholme [Cro1238] b after 1651 but died 1672 (before his father) - described as "son of" in burial record - probably under 21 years old.
