Y8 :  1711 April : Will of Thomas Crombleholme [Cro0430]  of Crawshaw, Mitton Parish (Prerogative Court of York Will) (MP letter dec 1999 - not seen)  Note Y8 & Y7 - 2 wills at York Reg; Thomas [430] died 1711 or 1712 - 2 records for 27th March of each year)  

Y7 :  1704 - 17th November : Will of Thomas Crombleholm [Cro0430] of Crawshaw Mitton proved in Exchequer Court of York (MP letter 7/10/2013 - not seen )  Note : Thomas C [430] possibly son of   68 & 69 (see 86)  married Ellen nee ??) [652] - their children : Richard C [428]  died as infant;  and a second Richard C [431] b May 1680 died as a child in 1686.

Y6 : 1596 -25th June :   Ellen Cromleholme [Cro1224] of Newhey in Bolland County of York 

Asked to be buried at Waddington;  Gives Anne Cromleholme  [Cro1231]  d/o my son Richard Cromleholme [Cro1226] one cowe

Gives my servant Robte Johnson two shillings; Elizabeth  Page [Cro1228]  & Margaret C [Cro1229]  my daughters;

Henry Cromleholme [Cro1230] my son; Rest of goods shared equally between Henry [Cro1230] & Elizabeth; [Cro1228];  John Cromleholme [Cro1232]  s/o Richard Cromleholme [Cro1226] my son

Y5 : 1596 - 1st April :  Anne Croumleholme [Cro1227]  widow of Parish Castle,  - possibly extra-parochial church at Clitheroe Castle . (caveat) 

On 1st April 1596, a caveat (i.e. notice that a will is to be disputed) was entered against probate of the will of Anne Croumleholme [1227] , widow , late of the parish  of Castle in the County of Lancaster, before the 1st may next, unless John Crombleholme [Cro1232]  , son of the deceased is first informed.   (Source : Borthwick Institute York - Ref City - extract from Act Book as will does not now exist.) 

Note : Her husband was Richard Crombleholme [Cro1226] who died before 1596; They had two children : Anne C [1231] and John C [1232]

Y4 : 1615 - 17th September : John Croumleholme [Cro1239] of Newhey, County of York, husbandman 

Indexed as 1615= probate date ? but will made ......? 1610.

....Sick and diseased in body...To Thomas Croumleholme [Cro1234] my son one ‘chest standing in the firehouse’. After my death and burial expenses be discharged, the rest of all my goods whatsoever to Thomas Crowmleholme [Cro1234] my son and Elizabeth Croumleholme [Cro1233] my wife, equally, and they both are to be executors.

Witnesses:  Henry Houghton, Edward Waddington, Richard Alston & Bartholomew Goodday.

Y1 : 1673 - 14th October : John Crombleholme [Cro1236] of Newhey (Waddington)  

On 14th October 1673 administration of the goods of John Crombleholme [Cro1236]  late of Newhey was granted to Alice (nee  ??  ) [Cro1237]  his relict (widow) . An inventory above the value of £40 was exhibited.    (Source : Borthwick Institute York Ref Folio 62 Craven Act Book)  Note : Their son was John Crombleholme [Cro1238] b after 1651 but died 1672 (before his father) - described as "son of" in burial record - probably under 21 years old.
