Boyds Marriages

Boyds Marriage Index : Compiled by Percival Boyd mainly from printed Register copies and lodged in the Society of Genealogists 

& the Guildhall Library both in London. I searched this during a visit to S of G in London in 1981 and extracted the following data 

for Crumbleholme families for Lancashire and any other counties with the name. He recorded from 16 English counties only from their 

first parish records up to 1837. He recorded 101 parishes in Lancashire. A fantastic piece of work which must have taken an incredible amount of time and perseverance.

The index is not wholly complete or reliable but can give some useful shortcuts to records (especially in pre internet days !) 

Please excuse my handwriting but it was far easier to scan the extracts that to type them in ! - I will do this sometime !!
