Crombleholmes of Fairsnape in Bleasdale

The Bleasdale area is to the north of Goosnargh and Crombleholme Fold. Bleasdale derives from the old Norse "a bare spot on a hillside" whilst Fairsnape is from the Old Norse snape - "scanty grass for sheep grazing in snow covered fields"
