1310 - 1333 Robert de Holand : The Abbot of Fourneys holds the hamlet of Crooholme and Clomore with 13 acres of land in the same of the fee of Adam son of Gilbert and William Fraunceys and renders yearly to the lord 18d. at the 4 said times.

1334 - July 12th (8EdwIII) at Lancaster. Writ to Sheriff...........Elias Crumbilholme [Cro0001] chaplain prosecutes Ellen Walmesley, widow, Will Walmesley labourer, and Eliz. Walmesley labourer, all of Ribchester........."Why be force and arms they broke down plaintiffs close at Ribchester overturned his soil with ploughs and took grass to the value of 40s., reaped it, trod it down and consumed it with other enormities to the great damage of the plaintiff" (N719)

1338 - Stydd : Knights Hospitallers religious house and order .... in the early C14th it was dissolved. According to the order of the Grand Prior in 1338, La Stede, a camera (small estate) under the preceptory of the Newlands was farmed out and gross income was 36 13s 4d. The Prior of the Newlands until 1544 was the Lord of the Manor. (Note Richard Crumbleholme purchased part - see 1545)

1341 - From the accounts of John de Radeclif Keeper of Clitheroe Castle 1341/2.........Where we now find the extensive and well cultivated farms of Stakes and Lees at this period there was only waste land:
John de Plesington for 3 waste plots called CRUMBEWALHOLM, Swagnesholm and les Leghes .... 27s 4d
