At the end of the first week at the British, Cowley has continued its splendid record in the Championships by winning two more British junior titles. After winning all her last three games, Chantelle has become the Girls' U16 champion, with 4.5/7, half a point ahead of runner-up Maria Wang, who suffered a loss in the last round against Oskar Hackner, one of the joint winners of the mixed U16 section who finished on 5 points. Anna Wang has become the Girls' U13 champion with 5 points out of 7. Congratulations to Chantelle and to Anna!
In other events at the Championships, the youngest participating Wang sister, Eva, has finished in second place among the U8 Girls with 4/6. In the Major Open, Chantelle has improved her position, standing on 3 points after six rounds, and her brother James has also pulled up to 50% after six rounds in the British Championships itself.
