Grandmaster Peter Wells will be holding his annual simultaneous display at Witney Chess Club’s Ducklington Village Hall venue on Monday 14 March 2016; start time 7.15 pm.
The evening is open to all Oxfordshire players, and Witney Chess Club is very much hoping that, as with last season’s simultaneous display, it will be well attended so that further such evenings can be arranged in the future.
So that they can cover their costs the following prices will apply:
1. Adults booked in advance: £10.00 (on the night: £12.00).
2. Juniors booked in advance: £5.00 (on the night: £6.00).
Prices are being kept as low as possible (i.e. they expect to break even at best) to encourage as many people as possible to attend, and they are also offering junior entries at half price in accordance with their aim of promoting junior chess in Oxfordshire.
Light refreshments (coffee, tea etc) will be included in the price.
Please note the following payment methods:
1. Online via the Witney Chess Club website www.witneychess.co.uk (the preferred method).
2. By cheque (Please make payable to Witney Chess Club and send to Mike Truran at The Old Farmhouse, 7 Church Street, Ducklington, Witney, Oxon OX29 7UA).
3. By cheque or cash on the night.
I hope a good contingent from Cowley will play in this event, which I commend to you. It should be a very pleasant and interesting evening.
