First, well done to Didcot on making the journey on a dark night with snow and ice.
This was an important match for us as Didcot are the only team below us in division 1.
Geoff's game was the first to finish; a relatively uninteresting draw. Dave then transposed
a sicilian to a won endgame, and Paul won a tactical English with opposite-sided castling.
The three top boards took a little longer. Ray was defending a very cramped position,
but dropped a piece when he seemed to be escaping. Will won a King's Gambit in his
usual swash-buckling style. Rod won a tight game lasting over 50 moves.
This now leaves us on five points with City and Banbury, with Didcot four points below us.
Cowley 2 are a couple of points above us.
