Cowley juniors win more British titles 2010

Congratulations to Maria and Anna Wang who continued the club's remarkable record of junior success at the British Championships held earlier this month in Canterbury. Maria scored 3.5/7 in the Under-16 tournament, and thereby became Joint British Girls' Under-15 Champion. Her younger sister, Anna, scored 5/7 in the Under-12 tournament, coming second overall and winning the British Girls' Under-12 Championship outright. In the Under-11 tournament, she scored 6/7 to finish first equal and so not only became outright British Girls' Under-11 Champion, but also Joint British Under-11 Champion.

Congratulations also to former Cowley junior, International Master Adam Hunt, who finished equal third in the British Championship on 7.5/11 and secured his 2nd Grandmaster norm with a 2624 performance over eleven rounds.
