With games running out, the battle to stay in division 1 is getting tense. The current bottom team (Banbury 1) have eight points with three games remaining, just one point adrift of Cowley 2 (three games left) and Witney 2 (two games left). These three teams have all to play each other, so expect dramatic twists in the remaining games. A failure to pick up points in these games, will likely spell relegation, but if these teams share the points from their encounters, then Cowley 1 can be sucked into the mire. They joined a group of three teams on eleven points after drawing with league leaders Witney 1 last night. However, their game point difference and handicap difference is not very good.
Watch out for Thursday when Cowley 2 host Banbury 1. Cowley 1 now have a ridiculous 7 week wait until their next fixture.
