Life

Healers Vigil (Life ••)

The mage can cause the targets body to knit itself back together faster than normally.

Practice: Ruling

Action: Extended

Duration: Lasting

Aspect: Covert

Cost: None

Through this spell the severity of the targets wounds can be downgraded. Downgrading an aggravated wound to a lethal wound requires 10 successes, while downgrading a lethal wound to bashing requires 5 successes.

The target can not engage in any strenuous activity during spellcasting and, because this spell enhances the bodies own healing ability, becomes hungrier than normal. For every 5 successes gained the target must eat an extra meal (something high in protein, like beans or a large hamburger) or take a point of bashing damage as the body steals from its healthy tissues in order to knit the broken ones together again.

Adamant Arrow Rote: Caduceus Ode

Dice Pool: Intelligence + Medicine + Life

An Arrow mage often finds himself in need of some medical attention, but also must conserve his arcane resources. This spell, while much slower than Self Healing, performs both duties.

Muscle Memory (Life ••)

Sometimes it is not enough to simply be stronger or faster. With this spell, a mage can perfect his tune his nerves and take advantage of what acts he has performed in the past.

Practice: Ruling

Action: Instant

Duration: Prolonged

Aspect: Covert

Cost: None

The mage chooses a single Physical Skill when this spell is cast. For each success on the spellcasting roll, one use of the skill is considered a rote action (see the World of Darkness Rulebook, p. 134), allowing his player to re-roll any dice that result in failures. This may only be used on non-magical Skill rolls. At Life 3, the mage may grant this ability to others by touch.

Adamantine Arrow Rote: One Thousand Katas

Dice Pool: Dexterity + Athletics + Life

Through a series of physical exercises, Arrow soldiers about to undertake some dangerous act often use this rote to hone their physical skills. When an awakened life is on the line, the instinctive actions are often the only ones that matter.
