As we entered the palace we could hear and feel things being thrown around in anger. We rushed into the throne room and found the throne sticking mostly into a wall. It was a scene of destruction as we see Lylith going off in a rampage. Andarel was there trying to convince Lylith that she couldn't leave. Danno tried to get in the path of Lylith's next object to get her attention but her eyes were still clouded with rage. Everything just seemed wrong and we needed to know what was going on so I did a brave but perhaps stupid thing. I put myself right in Lylith's face and commanded with all my force for her to calm down and tell us what happened. At first I thought I was going to be the next projectile as she reached out to grab my throat but she hesitated and then stopped and just stared at me coldly. Lylith informed us that the Lady Abigail had left in a fury and Andarel wouldn't let Lylith go after her. I asked why the Lady Abigail would leave in such a manner and she pointed towards a crumbled wall and hanging in the center of it was a platinum pentacle inset with a ruby. My heart sank as I realized what it was, it was Kat's pendant. We learned that Donovan had taken her and the Lady Abigail had went after her. My heart sank even more. I had never thought that my gift from the Lady for Kat's protection would lead to her running straight into the maw of the enemy. As we tried to think what to do next the reports of wide spread panic and chaos reached us. Donovan had apparently set another plan into action. The City was in utter chaos and it's Prince wasn't here to quell it. I was filled with anger and fear and was ready to join Lylith in her rampage. Something inside of me told me that I couldn't, that is exactly what Donovan wants. So I summoned every bit of control I had and went into action. No words needed to be said amongst the four. We all knew what we had to do. We had to act on the Lady Abigail's behalf and quell this chaos. I willed myself to the lorehouse to speak with my councilor. I was going to convene the council and unite the mages, even if they didn't want to. Red bounded with all speed to the werewolves with Hector at his side. They had to deal with the shadow. Danno consoled Lylith and inquired as to the whereabouts of Jericho, who was missing. Danno declared himself the temporary Sheriff and ordered that the vampire primigins convene. Ohm took off to find Kraven.
Red and Hector reported in describing how the shadow was also in complete disarray. Red summoned one of the knowledge spirit's heralds to him to find out any information. The spirit of knowledge was dead. They decided that the majority of the Uratha would be safer outside the city and a few would remain as shock troops to do what they could. They would destroy the locus so the hostile spirits couldn't feed from it and that should keep most on the shadow side of the gauntlet. During their journey Hector ran across an image of Donovan. The image informed him that we should be at the palace in three hours to hear his demands.
Meanwhile I informed Alchimedas of what transpired at the palace and that we needed to convene the council and unite the mages to keep this city under control. He told me that the Hierarch and three council members were unaccounted for. I told him we needed to then promote the highest ranking members of each order to fill the council seats. He called for the Herald who arrived rather quickly. The Herald sent a message out to all mages that their presence was required in ten minutes. It was almost unheard of for the Herald to send out such a summon and with the chaos already raging in the city, most mages knew this was serious and showed up. Shortly after the ten minutes nearly 60% of the known mages were present. I asked Alchimedas for his staff and put out my horsemen aura as I banged it and yelled out with authority for quiet. It took a bit but the room eventually quieted down and all eyes were upon me. I told the mages that the cause of the chaos was from Donovan and he was trying to divide us. I told them that we needed to unite and work with the other supernaturals in the city to put a stop to it. As expected most of the mages voiced their opposition and wanted to know why they should listen to me. I told them that the apocalypse has come and the four were here in the city and that I was one of them. This of course garnered even more side talk and heated discussions. I then spoke to Ohm in the high speech we had learned from the temples and most of the mages stopped and knew that wasn't possible. Then Alchimedas put his hand on my shoulder and told them to listen to me. He said the elders have know that something was starting to brew. Priest also showed his support as did the other older mages. I then gave the staff back to Alchimedas and said here is your new Hierarch, he speaks for us all. Alchimedas was quite surprised at first but he knew that desperate times called for desperate measures and he took the staff and the position. I then asked for any shamans to speak up and many raised hands followed. I then asked for volunteers to assist the werewolves and most of the hand went down but there were still several. I told them to report to the bar, with the locus destroyed the Uratha were going to need their help with the shadow. I told the new Hierarch to amass his army and meet the vampires in the palace and I willed myself there to prepare for the meeting with Donovan.
When I returned to the palace Danno had informed me that a percentage of the primigins were also missing. Danno had used death to sway those who had assembled that he was in charge and they were to amass their army and assist the mages. The palace was quite empty now and had a strange feeling to it. We stressed to Lylith that we needed Donovan's information and asked her to please quell her rage when he showed up. She understood.
Right on time a sickly energy began to emanate in the throne room as a purplish black gate began to form and Donovan walked out of it. He smirked at us in that arrogant way and reached into the portal and pulled out Kat who he threw to the floor at my feet. It took every ounce of control I had to not bring the roof of the palace down on all of us. She was beaten and hurt, but she was alive. Donovan went into a speech and opened another portal and showed us the other Donovan standing before the bound Lady Abigail. Before anyone could act he stabbed her with the spear and a beam of pure white energy erupted from her and shot towards the sky. The energy unraveled the portal and we saw no more. Lylith could no longer hold in her rage and the walls shook with her scream as she took off full speed and through several palace walls as though they were paper. The others wanted to go after her but I knew she was faster than us and we wouldn't catch her anytime soon, plus we still had the palace and this chaos to deal with. Then came Priest. He rushed into the throne room and said he had good news and bad news, the good was that he found the end of the bloodline, the bad was that it was Donovan. Well that threw a serious wrench into our plans of trying to protect the end of the bloodline. The immediate thought was that Donovan didn't know and we still had a chance of making sure he never found out. That idea was soon squashed as the alarms went off and we could see Donovan marching towards us carrying the spear.
Donovan was soon joined by a small army of the missing vampires and mages and every other scum who joined his side. He marched into the throne room defiantly encased in his purplish globe. We could all sense the power emanating from it and we knew that we wouldn't be able to penetrate it. The shield previously only had one weakness that I exploited but I know he fixed that. Regardless of the shield, Hector still tried to tackle Donovan and was met with singed skin and thrown back. As I looked over the crowd of his goons that had helped all of this come to play, those who chose to bring about the end of things, the anger I have been holding back began to swell. I placed the pentacle amulet back upon Kat's neck and opened the connection to it's fullest. I let all of her pain flow into me and join into the wave of emotion that had already began picking up speed. That last push knocked back the dam I had erected and I channeled it all into the imago of my next spell. It was time to turn this bitch up to 11. I punched a hole through the Abyss and pulled down the full wrath of Pandemonium. The Abyss quickly tried to close the hole, but the power of the horsemen, the power of my anger and fear and pain bitch slapped its attempt aside. I wasn't prepared for this kind of power though and I began to falter. Just as it looked like the spell was going to fail I felt a reassuring presence. Kat had her arms around me and lent me her strength. I refocused the power with new determination and let those fuckers have it. In the center of Donovan's goons a flat hole of blackness appeared pulling all light into it. Those near it were stuck in it's event horizon and they were flattened like pancakes, the intense gravity of the black hole forcing them into two dimensional objects. They probably screamed in agony but none heard it as the air in their lungs was absorbed into the hole. To those observing they saw a simple wave of power and dozens of bodies fall to the ground dead within a time frame of only a few seconds. To me the entire event took hours. I watched the twisted demons within the vampires claw their way out of their flesh. The vampires screaming in intense pain as their very own demons dragged them into the hole as they slowly devoured their broken souls. The mages were met with abyssal intruders who slowly gnawed through the link between the mages souls and their watchtowers. The mages laid helpless as the black hole drew away all of their mana. Their bodies slowly turning into dried out husks. Using my magic to inflict this much pain and suffering should have made my soul cry out in it's own agony, but it didn't. I stood there and enjoyed every millisecond of it. I knew I couldn't stop Donovan from spilling his blood. But someone needed to pay for what he did to Kat and the Lady Abigail. So I decimated as many of his followers as I could. Danno had that look of wanting to raise zombies and I gave him an approving nod. Right now I don't care. Danno pushed out his wave of death and bid them all to rise and an army of zombies turned to attack the rest of Donovan's goons.
Time seemed to come to a crawl as Donovan impaled himself with the spear and everybody tried their best to stop the blood to no avail. As the first drop hit the floor it began to shake. As more of the blood congealed the floor began to buckle and heave and tore apart. Soon a large creature crawled its way out. Some kind of demon I suppose. It roared out with a voice of malice, I am Legion. Those still in the throne room just stared in awe not knowing what to do. We were shaken from our trance by a bolt of lightning and the Stormcaller standing next to us. He quickly surveyed the room and said "We must leave". While the demon was relishing his new found freedom, Andarel was weaving a dark spell over the corpse of Donovan. Donovan's corpse opened its eyes and took a deep breath. That traitorous bitch just brought him back to life. Donovan quickly grabbed the spear and stabbed it into the demon's back crying out "This is for my father!" The demon howled in pain and just simply died. My first instinct was to hit Donovan while he was still kinda weak but that ideas was put to rest as the missing council mages appeared in front of us and launched an attack at the four, their intent was easy to discern, they were trying to kill us. We didn't even have time to react but someone else did. There was a familiar rustling of a cloak and Jericho leapt into the room intercepting the council mage's attack. We were clearly outmatched and Kraven's word of warning about leaving had a sense of urgency to it. I reached out and locked onto the patterns of all my allies and pulled them to me while simultaneously willing us to anywhere but here. We appeared in a cave in Yellowstone National Park. The cave where we had fought the pure along side the Roanoke. I quickly unraveled the portal and we all stood there in silence, stunned by all that had just transpired.
