Red heads outside the boundaries of Ahava to talk to some of the lesser knowledge spirits about the Idigam. We have decided we need to figure out exactly what these things are and why Donovan is trying to find them. It is suggested we go and talk to a Max Roman. It is known amongst the Uratha that Max fought one of the Idigam named Gurdilag. I look up his whereabouts and find that he died five years ago but his son still lives in Denver and keeps a lodge dedicated as a shrine to his father's pack. So we head out to Denver. Kat joins us. The lodge of Max Roman is a pilgrimage for many Uratha. Very few have even seen an Idigam let alone live to tell about it.
As soon as we arrive in Denver you can just smell wolf. As we head to the lodge we notice that this city seems to be devoid of any other supernaturals. As we enter the lodge we get the usual odd stares we have become so accustomed to. The lodge is of course full of Uratha. We inquire about talking to Kyle Roman and find that he is not here but is expected shortly so we spend some time some walking around looking at all the artifacts and trophies this pack has acquired over the years. Eventually a man with worn leathery skin that appears to have spent his whole life outdoors arrives. He comes straight over to us like he was expecting us to have been there. He introduces himself as Kyle Roman. We quickly inform him as to why we are here and he takes us outside to his "office". We tell him about the rift destroying the gauntlet and about Donovan's search for the Idigam. Kyle believes that since the major goal of the Idigam was to destroy the gauntlet that Donovan was doing the same in order to draw their attention so he could take their powers. He believes that Donovan specifically is looking for the Idigam's power to survive. This makes sense since they spent so many centuries stuck on the moon. Kyle them informs us that his father didn't actually kill Gurdilag. Gurdilag possessed Max so that he could be reborn through his son. We were quite taken aback by this and started tensing up for battle. Kyle said not to worry, he was not the same Gurdilag as before. When he was "reborn" he saw glimpses of his future and it changed him. He said the reason Father Wolf tossed the Idigam to the moon was to keep them out of the reach of Donovan. Father Wolf knew that Donovan should never have their power. We ask Kyle to come back to Ahava with us so we can keep him out of the eyes of Donovan. He says it won't matter. As long as the Idigam are alive Donovan will eventually find them and the future is not good if that ever happens. Kyle wants us to destroy him. We try to talk him out of it but he is unmoving in his stance. The only problem is that only the Idigam can truly destroy another Idigam. We tell him about Lylith and we think she can probably take his powers. He agrees to talk to Lylith and returns to get his affairs in order. We will return with him to Ahava in the morning.
