Spent the whole week putting the final touches on the Spires. Word of the Spires began circulating amongst our small community and as the week progressed we began to attract a gathering of mages. The mages were intrigued by the Atlanteans runes none of them have ever seen before. Soon they were taking notes and learning the runes. The Spires had become a teaching device and we felt that this was a good thing.
The day had finally begun and Taranis started the ritual to channel power into the Spires. We both contributed most of our power into the ritual and the other mages donated what they could. As Taranis finished the ritual the Spires began to glow and a trickle of energy seeped into the nexus pieces. At first we were kinda disappointed. While we did manage to increase the charge of the nexus it was much smaller an increase then we had imagined. At this rate it was still going to take months to reach the power level we would need. I'm not sure we have that kind of time.
Lylith had showed up during the ritual and indicated she feels that she may be able to help us. She thinks she might be able to absorb any left over essence of the temple guardians and redistribute it into the nexus pieces. We have seen her do some crazy things so it was worth a shot. With our artifacts drained though we were going to need a couple days before we could visit the temples.
